The EOS Integrated Cleaning System uses ultrasonic vibrations to literally shake dust particles off of the low-pass filter in front of the sensor each time the camera is powered up or shut down. The EOS 40D is compatible with the full line-up of Canon EF lenses, the high-quality, affordable EF-S lenses and any of the EX Speedlite line of flash units.
