The Epson Stylus Color 777i ink-jet printer provides photo-quality color, thanks to its four-color (CMYK) drop-on-demand Micro Piezo ink-jet technology. That combined with 2,880 x 720 dpi resolution and AccuPhoto halftones produces smooth and vivid prints.
The 777i prints a typical page of black text in less than eight seconds (8 ppm) and color text and graphics (for example, a captioned 4-by-6-inch photo) in about 90 seconds. A typical 8-by-10-inch photo takes a little over three minutes.
The 777i features special quick-drying inks that resist smearing. Black ink lasts for 600 pages of printed text, and color ink lasts for 300 pages. You can print on a wide range of materials–plain paper, glossy film, backlight film, matte paper heavyweight, photo paper, adhesive card stock, transparencies, iron-on transfers, banners, labels, envelopes, various watercolor papers, and more.
The 777i’s accompanying software includes Corel Print House 2000 for photo editing and greeting cards, Epson Software Film Factory for image editing, and Trellix Web for creating Web pages.
The Epson 777i is compatible with both PC and Mac and accepts color covers designed to match iMacs. It measures 17.7 by 10.1 by 6.8 inches and weighs 8.4 pounds. It’s backed by a standard one-year warranty.
