This lens has improved resolution to match with high resolution sensors and Pentax SP coating which protects the exposed lens elements. The DA 18-55mm II has aspherical elements to compensate for spherical aberration, and a focal length equivalent to 27mm to 82.5mm in the 35mm format. ♦ This DA 50mm-200mm lens features a responsive "Quick-Shift Focus System" that allows photographers to instantly switch the focus mode from auto to manual. Coupled with a simple, functional design and the elimination of an aperture ring, this new mechanism considerably improves operability. The lens also incorporates an Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass lens element and two aspherical lens elements for true-to-life image reproduction and overall size reduction. ♦ The D-BG3 battery grip, exclusively for the Pentax K200D digital SLR camera, is weather resistant and has a vertical shutter release and an AE-L button, making vertical shooting easier than ever. The battery compartment holds 4 AA-size batteries, doubling the battery life of the camera.
