Xerox is advancing its color leadership and making the prospect of universal office color printing a reality with the industry’s fastest-ever 21ppm office color printer, the Xerox Phaser 2135. The Phaser 2135 prints 21ppm in color and 26ppm in black and white at 1200dpi resolution. Using single pass technology, the Phaser 2135 transfers a full-color image to paper in a single-pass using LED (light emitting diode) technology. Most office laser printers require four passes through the printer – one for each color – to produce a color document.The Phaser 2135 is designed to replace the need most workgroups and departments have for separate color and black-and-white printers. To meet these diverse needs, the Phaser 2135 is equipped with a 500MHz Intel processor and a first-page-out time of 17 seconds in color and 13 seconds for black-and-white prints. In addition, the Phaser 2135 has an input paper capacity of 2, 850 sheets and booklet printing capability that is geared to in-house production of lengthy documents, proposals and marketing materials.
