You can spin the convenient mode dial to switch between 19 automatic scene modes, or press the separate buttons to quickly shoot, play back, or delete pictures. A menu pad displays the in-camera Help Guide for quick photo tips, and thanks to the camera’s 4.0 megapixel CCD and 12x total zoom (3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom), your shots will always be clear and vibrant.
The camera’s TruePic Turbo image processor automatically improves the color and clarity of your images while also speeding up overall camera operation including startup and flash recharge times. The 19 shooting modes are designed to provide the best settings for each particular shooting situation such as Portrait, Cuisine, Night Scene, Fireworks, and so on. Select the scene, press the shutter, and enjoy the results. And if you’re not sure which setting to use, simply check out the built-in Help Guide, which offers suggestions that are complete with images and brief descriptions.
With a 4.0-megapixel CCD, the D545 can produce pictures up to 11 x 15 inches. A built-in “picture frames” feature lets you select from several colorful, decorative borders for your photos to print or email to friends. You can also print directly to PictBridge-enable printers. Auto-connect USB capability makes connecting to a computer via the USB 2.0 cable simple, with no software installation required, and the camera comes with Olympus Master Software CD so you can easily edit and crop images, organize them, create wallpapers, slideshows, and more. The camera also features a battery-saving sleep mode that helps conserve battery life, a built-in flash, 12-second self-timer and 14 MB of internal memory. It’s also D-Picture Card compatible, so you can shoot to your heart’s content.
