As the second generation of Sony DVD Handycam camcorders, the DCR-DVD101E offers the latest cutting edge technology and has been redesigned in response to customer feedback. Easy and compact new features include an innovative "Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar" zoom lens for enhanced picture quality, a "Hybrid LCD" panel for displaying a clear image in any light conditions, a "Start/Stop Record button" on the LCD frame for easier operability up to a one Megapixel CCD and true 16:9 widescreen mode for improved image acquisition on the premier model.
