Summary: Best bang for the buck
Comment: I heavily researched this TV before purchasing it and I'm blown away by this model. The picture quality is amazing, especially through over-the-air digital TV. I mainly bought this TV to compliment my PS3 and games and blu-ray titles look absolutely stunning; the colors are incredibly rich and vibrant. I have external speakers hooked up to my TV for sound, so I don't have much to say about the internal speakers. I also have to add that the white glove service was incredibly fast and I couldn't be happier with CEVA's service and consistent information on my TV's tracking status. Delivery arrived much sooner than expected!

Summary: Nice picture quality & you can view digital pics
Comment: I like how we can view our digital pictures directly through this TV. The picture quality is excellent. It's a futuristic TV and my husband loves it. We can also watch videos from our laptop and the internet on this TV screen.

Summary: Great T.V. for the price
Comment: Bought this T.V. back in July. I've been very pleased with the picture quality. Yes, the speakers aren't great, but you can always buy better speakers if you need them. Hook up is easy, just plug it in and it takes care of it's self pretty much.

Blu-Ray movies are amazing to look at, as are PS3 games. I'm looking forward to buying Planet Earth at some point and watching that.

Remember to check back to the Amazon website for price changes. If the price goes lower, email them, and they'll refund you the difference. I did that about 4 different times. They never asked any questions and just credited my card.

Overall, if you're looking for a T.V. that doesn't bust your wallet, then this one is for you.

Summary: Great purchase
Comment: This TV is the best! Has a great picture, great color looks good. There is easy access to the hook ups in the back. I can't say enough good things about the delivery and set up. How easy can it get! Arrived way ahead of schedule was brought into the house, unpacked and set up to make sure all was well. And after all that I saved about $400.00 on this purchase. Would certainly recommend to anyone in the market for a new TV.

Summary: Re: Samsung 1080p8 Upscaling DVD player compatability
Comment: I recently purchased the LN40A550 and the 1080p8 Upscaling DVD player. Unlike the post below, I haven't had any problems in relation to the Anynet signal appearing every couple of minutes. I plugged in the DVD player into the HDMI 2 jack, put in a DVD, and immediately started watching. I've heard of some issues with the TV and needing additional firmware, but so far I haven't needed it. I've had my TV for three weeks now and have never had a problem with the DVD player losing a signal or connection.

I narrowed my choices between the Sony and the Samsung and thought the Samsung outperformed the Sony. Sony tends to create a picture that is extremely soft, much like the look in the movie theatres. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but I tend like more crispness and definition.
