Summary: Unnecessary if you purchase HDTV with a credit card
Comment: Check with your credit card company. They typically double the original manufacturer warranty up to one year, meaning that if you bought a Samsung HDTV with a credit card, you will receive an additional year of coverage.
In other words, you'd be paying $200+ for just one more year. Bad deal.

Comment: I bought the LN52A650 and the bezel cracked because i bumped into it. Samsung replaced the bezel. no questions asked.

Comment: How about letting customers know before they get this warranty that
it must be obtained within 60 days of tv purchase. You will only get this info. after the extended warranty purchase is completed. :(
